Gibson on Puppy War!

My wife Dina snapped a good photo of our doggie Gibson outside our front door when he was a puppy.  It was so cute, of course we had to put it on Puppy War.  Oh, you don’t know about Puppy War?  Check out the link at the right side of this page.  You know you love it.  You will secretly play Puppy War while your boss is not looking.  You will forego your LOTR extended edition marathon in favor of playing Puppy War.  You will pretend to be having quiet time with the Lord, and actually be playing Puppy War.  Anyway, we were playing Puppy War and guess who showed up?  That’s right, Gibson!  I took this screen shot.  Voting for him was a no-brainer.  He’s won 64% of his battles making him one of the top puppies – ’nuff said.

Life Counts!

Ammendment 48 is going on the Colorado ballot this year.  The ammendment is intended to ammend the Colorado Constituion to include language that defines “pre-born from the moment of fertilization as having their “personhood” clearly established, so that they may enjoy equal protection under the law.”  This is a pro-life movement and I encourage anyone who reads my blog to get informed about this by viewing this video made by Personhood Colorado 08′ and vote “yes on 48.”  Click below to watch!

Sir Lancelot!

Lance is back!  Yes indeed the news has circulated that Lance Armstrong is going to come back to professional road racing.  He said he wants to launch an international awareness campaign for cancer.  Pastor Daniel asked me if I thought he could win an 8th Tour de France and here are my thoughts:

It’s a long shot.  And everyone in the whole cycling world worth their salt will be training like crazy the whole next year to beat him.  But honestly?  Yes, even at 37 I think he could do it.  He is one of the most pure athletes in the whole history of the world.  His mental disposition and physicality basically make him that way.

He is going to publically post every single off-season drug test online for the whole next year so people will all know he is drug free.  Amazing.  He’s hard core.

Dude, he came in 2nd in the Leadville 100 by only 90 seconds.  That’s one of the top 3 most difficult mountain bike races in the world (others are in Argentina and Canada but those are multi-day stage races).  You know the only thing harder than the Tour?  Mountain Biking.  It’s insane.  The guy is just a perfect fit for the bike in every way.

We won’t be hearing much about Michael Phelps again if Lance pulls this one off.
